VMMP s.r.o. was founded in Praha 8 with a mission that sounds simple but is rarely achieved in practice: to give Czech businesses access to senior-level technology advisory that is genuinely focused on their business outcomes, not on selling them technology.

Aivars Kurms built VMMP s.r.o. on the back of years spent working at the intersection of technology and business strategy. That experience revealed a consistent pattern: Czech SMEs and growing companies were making costly technology decisions without the strategic framework they needed — not because they lacked intelligence or resources, but because they lacked access to the kind of experienced, independent advisory that large enterprises take for granted through their CTO or IT leadership teams.

VMMP s.r.o. was founded to close that gap: to be the senior technology partner for companies that need expert guidance but are not yet at the scale where an in-house technology leadership team makes financial sense.

Our Philosophy

Technology is a means to business outcomes, not an end in itself. This sounds obvious, but it is violated constantly in practice — by vendors who lead with features rather than outcomes, by consultants whose recommendations are shaped by commission structures rather than client needs, and by internal IT teams whose natural inclination is to solve technology problems with technology solutions.

At VMMP s.r.o., every engagement starts from the business question: what is the client trying to achieve, what is currently preventing them from achieving it, and what role can technology play in removing that obstacle or creating that capability? Technology recommendations are the output of that process, not the starting point.

This approach produces different recommendations than technology-first thinking. Sometimes the right answer is a new system. Sometimes it is better use of an existing system. Sometimes it is a process change that doesn't require any new technology at all. Clients value the independence to give them whichever answer is right, not whichever answer is most convenient for the advisor.

Vendor Independence

VMMP s.r.o. operates on a strictly vendor-independent basis. We do not receive referral fees, commissions, or revenue-sharing arrangements from technology vendors. Our income comes entirely from advisory fees paid by clients. This structure is not incidental — it is foundational to the quality of advice we can give.

When a consultant's income depends on recommending a specific platform, the conflict of interest is real, even when the advisor is personally honest. Clients deserve to know that the advice they are paying for is not being shaped by financial relationships they cannot see. Vendor independence is the only way to guarantee that.
